Given the many great things to do in San Diego, we tried to plan events in such a way that everyone has an opportunity to revisit their West Coast friends and family, their favorite areas and still allow for a few Reunion 2010 events that will give us a chance to get together again.  The Reunion 2010 Registration form is attached.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone again, soon.  Please contact me if you have any questions.

Semper Fidelis,

I have enclosed a few pictures of the hotel and a map of the area.  The DoubleTree Hotel is only 7 miles away from the San Diego Airport. Due to very low demand from hotel guests, the hotel has discontinued its airport shuttle service. Other transportation options available are: taxi: approx $25.00 each way.  Supershuttle / Cloud9: approx $10.00-$15.00 each way. The hotel is part of the Hazard Shopping Center.  The Fashion Valley Shopping Center is just across the freeway from the hotel and easily accessible by the light rail system and only one trolley stop away from the hotel. The light rail system is very easy to use, clean and inexpensive.  A one-day, multiple-stop pass costs approximately $5.00.  We will be chartering a bus to get us from the hotel to Camp Pendleton, MCRD and downtown San Diego.  There will be ample free time for you to enjoy the area on your own.

The brick is directly in line from where I took the picture to the door of the chapel.

The brick for “Gunny” Holland has not been emplaced yet, and I don’t know about the brick for Art Murdoch. I don’t think it has been ordered as yet.

 That’s all for now.
